Pinkish beige limestone
The Carrasqueira quarry is located in Limites dos Serrões, in Pêro Pinheiro, Sintra. It is the only SOLANCIS quarry that is not located in the Estremenho Limestone Massif. Here we extract limestone generically known as Lioz. It is a normally pinkish beige stone that contains many fossils and fragments of other rocks.
