Discover the quarry where white limestone originates

The Vale da Moita nº1 quarry is located in Arrimal, Porto-de-Mós, one of the main sites for quarrying in the Maciço Calcário Estremenho. Here we extract limestone which is generically known as Semi-rijo Arrimal. It is characterized by its white or clear beige colour, with the presence of miniscule grains and, although rarely, small marine fossils.
