Redevelopment received a mention for the Best Work of Architecture in an Urban Space

The stones Amazona Clássico and Vale Amazona with flamed sawn finish were used in flooring slabs, Portuguese paving, copings, kerbs, gutters and steps of the area surrounding the Alcobaça Monastery, Portugal. The redevelopment of this public area was designed by the architects Gonçalo Byrne e Falcão de Campos in 2006 and received an honorable mention for Best Work of Architecture in an Urban Space in the Ibero - American Biennial of Architecture and Urbaism in 2008.
